Here’s what to expect at Back With A Bang 2018!

Fast Track 4-!Way: Cyanide v. Rio v. Ligero v. Dursun

New Year, new Fast Track! The first one of 2018 provides one of 4 men the opportunity to start their year off with gold around their waist! Who will earn themselves a title shot at Back With A Bang?

“The Mexican Sensation” El Ligero returns to GPW! Ligero, a former main stay on the roster where he made his name, hasn’t been seen since October 2015 but returns on January 26thwith his sights set on taking gold. He takes part in his first ever Fast Track 4-Way where he’ll have some company to earn that all important title shot…

Former Heavyweight Champion, Cyanide competes in his second Fast Track and unlucky to have not won his last, Cyanide has made no secret of wanting the Heavyweight Gold back. His size and experience will surely make him one of the favourites here. Rio, formerly of the Island Brothers, sets out on his own without his brother. He is a former 2 time tag team champion, but has never competed in a match like this. How will Rio fare in the singles ranks?

Finally, Soner Durson, once a running buddy of Heavyweight Champion, Dylan Roberts returns to GPW. His previous acquaintances mean that Soner comes from great stock. He has all the attributes to do well in this type of match, but with serious competition in front of him – who will earn a title shot at Back With a Bang?

Sandy Beach in Action!

Sandy Beach spent his entire 2017 looking for his first victory, despite several challenges – it didn’t come. He has proclaimed 2018 is “his year” and a win will come at Back With A Bang… we shall see.

British Title Match: “Sexy” Kevin Lloyd v. Sam Gradwell

The British Title goes on the line in a special never before seen one on one battle!

Since capturing the British Title, Sam Gradwell has complained about lack of competition. Once even refusing to attend a show because he deemed the competition beneath him. Even before becoming British Champion, Sam Gradwell made it his mission in life to tell everybody that he is the most successful graduate to have ever come out of the Grand Pro school, and the most important man on the roster. Where few can doubt his achievements as a professional, there is one person out there who came from the same school and who’s star in the wrestling business rose to new heights in 2017 when Sam’s very own employers, the WWE sat up and took notice of none other than, “Sexy” Kevin Lloyd.

Formally, “Sexy” Kev, Lloyd has developed into quite the performer, proving to all that he is indeed not just a pretty face. Lloyd returns to the promotion where he started to not only show Gradwell that he’s not only one with successes after graduation., and of course – to take his British title from him.

Singles Match: LA Austin v. Jimmy Jackson

Two high flyers meet for the very first time in what will be a spectacle for all fast paced, high flying wrestling fans!

LA Austin returned to the ring last year and it was obvious for all to see, he hadn’t missed a step. Fast paced and fearless, he peeled back the years and amazed fans just as he had done years before. His stand out performance in November’s Dumpster Match was one of the talking points of 2017 (available to hire on our Vimeo channel – click here) not to mention his death defying balcony dive. Think high flying, think LA Austin

“Jumpin” Jimmy Jackson similarly made waves in 2017, holding onto the British Title for almost a year, eventually losing the belt to current Champion, Sam Gradwell. Like Austin, Jackson has a hardcore following of devoted fans, making the decision on who they’ll cheer on January 26th a tough one.

Tag Match: MBC v. Kollins & Bone

Two bruising teams come together in what promises be an unmissable, hard hitting tag team encounter!

Former GPW Tag Team Champions, The Midnight Bin Collection missed out on the chance to lift the trophy again at the end of 2017, but are re-focussed on climbing that mountain again. However, standing in their way are the team of T-Bone and Craig Kollins.

As if the duo of Kollins & Bone weren’t intimidating enough, add to that the fact they are responsible for one of the most successful tag teams in GPW history (The Island Brothers) being permanently disbanded, a match against them for any tag team seems more than just a daunting prospect. Kollins and Bone both have the taste of blood in their mouths, will MBC be able to stop them?

Bubblegum Returns

2017 was a tough year for Bubblegum, one of the most beloved GPW stars. A very personal, and vicious confrontation with Sam Gradwell, ultimately ending in defeat for Bubblegum seemed to send him on a downward spiral in 2017 and his year never get out of the blocks. It left the former multiple time champ wondering, could he still do it?

Things got so low for Bubblegum, he uncharacteristically pulled out of a scheduled appearance in November, citing his reasons as “not being able to face the fans”. It was an ominous statement, but Bubblegum has committed to being in attendance at Back With A Bang. What will he have to say? Will he compete? Or have we seen the last of Bubblegum in GPW?

Main Event 8 Man Tag: Bad Lads & Dylan Roberts w/ A. A Tasker  v. Kirby, Hayes, Smith, Brooks w/ DDL

Do Main Events come much bigger? The tag team champions join forces with the Heavyweight Champion to take on 4 of the most popular names on the roster in a special 8 Man Tag!

Under the guidance of Alan Alan Alan Tasker The Bad Lads (Drill, Micky Barnes and Big Joe) pair up with the longest ever reigning Heavyweight Champion in GPW history, Dylan Roberts. Together, the men will face the challenge of Martin Kirby, Joey Hayes, Matthew Brooks and Ashton Smith. A formidable foursome in anyone’s estimation. The 4 fan favourites, have enlisted the coaching and managerial guidance of side-lined Grand Slam Champ, “Dangerous” Damon Leigh. You do not want to miss this!
